Love, Jealousy, and Undying Friendships

This novel is based on a true story about the warmhearted rescue of three youngsters who were abandoned by their mother and subsequently raised by strangers. Read of their adventures with the families who found them and how these families devoted their lives to protecting them.

Reggie, Richard, and Sophia (best friends by shear accident), heard the children’s cries and took them into their homes, beginning the story of their rescue and eventual redemption.

Love and romance bloomed as the three friends and the young children grew to know each other and bonded. Adoption was completed, but they still remained at risk. Read how children can be raised in a caring and happy environment, even when danger is just around the corner.

This story is about love and it is about hate.  It is about life and it is about murder.  It is about victims and heroes.  Abandoned is both a love story and a murder mystery, and evolves into exciting dynamics of love, jealousy, and undying friendships.

Honestly, your book was such a "Page Turner" that I hated reaching the END! Please, please write a second one with the same characters so people like ME (and there are lots of those people) can follow these marvelous characters as they continue their "life journey". So, get busy!!! — Betty Golden

Boy, oh boy, did I love the book. You really wrote a socko book here. It's amazing, Gerre, I swear to you. I'm in awe of this book you've written. I think it's terrific...wonderful, wonderful read....fascinating with twists and turns. You cannot predict what's going to happen in this story. It just holds your interest beautifully from beginning to end and left me feeling good and hopeful, and that's such a nice feeling, but it takes you on a roller coaster ride, and it was very, very gripping, and I am so proud of you. Okay, give me a call. I want to talk about your wonderful book...—  Lillian Yokelson

"Abandoned" was fabulous, real page turner...absolutely LOVED IT...should be made into a movie.— Alfreda Mastman

I've been passing "Abandoned" around and my daughter, Wendy, and Sylvia Meltzer have read it and loved it. — Ruth Ross

I am so impressed and so proud of you!!! Terrific book! It kept my interest in the characters throughout. You did a masterful job of writing what could have ended up a tragedy. I hope you continue to write because you definitely have a talent... — Betty Lou Blumrosen

I LOVED your book. — Marilyn Jacobs
