Move Them Out!

A Book of Memories
with contributions from the family

by Jerry L. Schmidt

Jerry L. Schmidt is the youngest son in the family of
Gunny (Skjersth) Schmidt and Marcus Schmidt.

This is a story of all Jerry’s travels, from a farm in rural Lakota, North Dakota, to around the world, while serving his beloved country. All the while he kept his deep North Dakota values taught to him by his mother and father.

Sergeant Schmidt retired from the Army National Guard, North Dakota after 31 years.

Gunny Schmidt, the oldest daughter of Torvald and Marie Skjersth, was born on a very stormy day in November 23, 1924 on a farm west of Brockett, N. D. In Newbre Township, Ramsey County, N. D.

Gunny still lives in Lakota, continues to serve God,
and spreads her love through her four children,
numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
